A company is looking for a PB Advanced HIM Coding Specialist
2.
Key Responsibilities
Code and charge SCMG Clinical Services, resolving billing edits and
denials
Abstract medical record information in compliance with CMS
requirements
Collaborate with Patient Financial Services on medical necessity
issues and claim denials
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
High School diploma or GED; graduate of an AHIMA Accredited Health
Information Technology program or certification from AHIMA or
AAPC
Valid Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification
or equivalent
Minimum of one year of hospital or professional coding
experience
Knowledge of ICD-10 CM and CPT-4 code assignment
Ability to maintain required educational credits through AHIMA or
AAPC
