Job Description:
A company is looking for an APR-DRG Subject Matter Expert
(Healthcare).
Key Responsibilities:
Research and analyze concepts to identify overpayment opportunities
in APR-DRG coding
Create criteria documents for data queries and screen claims
monthly
Review appeals and monitor audit outcome trend reports for
improvements
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of experience with APR-DRGs and expert knowledge of AHA
Coding Guidelines
Experience in developing audit selection criteria for APR-DRG
coding errors
Must stay current with industry trends in APR-DRG reimbursement and
audit regulations
Experience with encoder tools such as TruBridge, 3M, or
Webstrat
Current AHIMA member with active RHIA, RHIT, or CCS
certification
